Nicholas Davis Studio is a furniture design practice with a focus on creating original, practical and beautiful furniture that values permanence, craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Each project draws from a range of historical and contemporary references relevant to the function of the piece in order to create characterful and valuable furniture that enhances its environment and the lives of those who use it.
After studying visual communication at the Glasgow School of Art, I pursued a career in art direction and graphic design before deciding to follow my creative passions for designing and making furniture.
In 2023 I graduated from Chippendale International School of Furniture, winning Student of the Year, and set up Nicholas Davis Studio.
Both Occasional Coffee Table and Fireside Chair were exhibited at the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition in October 2023, organised by The Young Furniture Makers Company and sponsored by NaughtOne.
I am also showcased as a designer with Slancha (slancha.com), a platform dedicated to promoting and supporting the creation of new, contemporary design.
